Hello viewers and/or helpless victims of a misplaced click! Welcome to my blog, please stop and look around a bit. My name is Chelsea and I am a somewhat typical college student living life. I've created this account in order to share some of the random things I've done and tell stories (Anyone who knows me will tell you I talk-- perhaps too much-- to anyone and everyone and always have a story to tell). I think I talk too much, but thankfully in this setting you are not being coerced into listening to my ramblings, you may stop reading whenever you choose (though I hope you find me just intriguing enough to continue reading).

P.S. I've got a secret..... I am new to this! (As if you couldn't tell by my cookie cutter blog template) I have never before written a blog, but so many people keep saying I should, and provided I have the patience and the dedication to do this frequently, I think it will be really fun.

So anyway, please keep in mind that I am new to this, and cut me some slack as I get the hang of it.
Oh and one more thing! If you don't like my blog for whatever reason, I am not forcing you to read it; no one is :) and I am who I am, so don't expect me to change if I get a little flak.

Welcome to Every Day's an Adventure

Swing, Stick, and Shenanigans

What's the title about you ask? Well, swing: I LOVE swing dancing!! So beyond awesome; you should totally try it. I go as close to every Monday as possible at an awesome local place called Coffee Depot. Swing dancing is free there every Monday night. They teach a free lesson from 7:30-8:30pm and from 8:30-11pm is just free dance. It's a really friendly environment and lots of energetic dancing and twirling, but don't take my word for it! Come see for yourself one of these days! I'll even give you a ride if you go to my college. Tomorrow night my best friend and a friend of hers are driving all the way out from Azusa to go dancing and then out to dinner afterward like we do most nights she visits. If you're interested and have some questions just ask me :)

I've been hooked on swing dancing since my very first time at The Atomic Ballroom, this venue charges $8 and has it's swing nights on Friday evenings, but is super awesome!!! It's a much larger facility, both the longer walls are fully mirrored, there's a bar, and shiny wristbands lol.

So ya swing dancing, try it. Had an awesome night last Monday and plan to have another memorable evening tomorrow. Now onto the second word in the title: stick.

On Tuesdays I only have one class and afterward I have a 3 hour gap until a meeting in the evening. I'm not a big planner and like to live life letting things happen on their own. I go with the flow and don't worry too much about where it's going to take me. So, I had gotten out of class and was walking along with the classmate I had been talking to as class ended, just decided to go where she was going until the flow took me somewhere else. A couple minutes go by and I happen to notice a friend of mine that I haven't seen in MONTHS, so I hurriedly say goodbye to my classmate, shove an explanation in her general direction and run over to my friend. After my overly excited greeting (I really love this kid haha), I settle in to follow him on his journey. I happen to ask him where he's going and it turns out that he's commuting too and also has a sizable gap of time to occupy and had decided just to go to the library. So we sit down in the library, continue to talk and somehow it comes up that I can't drive a manual transmission. My friend is rather... well I don't know... shocked, appalled(something to that effect, but not as extreme), to find out that I can't drive stick. So he asks me excitedly if I would like to learn how to drive stick, I eagerly say yes, and I think that surprised him a little haha, but anyway we get passed the "Really?"s and we walk right back out of that library, and he begins to give me a lesson on cars, driving, and the inter-workings of the clutch, gears, and other car related topics as we walk to his car. We take a brief detour so I can show him my shiny pretty new car, and then get to his car. He tells me all about his car, gives me an intriguing history about what it's been through, what year, it's repairs and innovations it's gone through, etc. My friend is very intelligent, and loves to tell stories, which are some of the reasons I enjoy hanging out with him so much. Anyway, back to the point. He proceeds to teach me to drive stick and we drive around for nearly 2 hours all the while he is beyond patient with me and very calm. So that's what the word "Stick" refers to in my title.

The last word: Shenanigans, is kind of all encompassing for how my week went last week, well rather, how my life goes. I run around bee bopping, chatting, and enjoying life nearly every spare moment I have. In class is another story, but outside of class I enjoy nothing better than taking in the weather whatever it may be, being as spontaneous as possible within reason(can't be too reckless), and wandering from place to place hopefully brightening the days of those I encounter.

Though stressful as all get out, I love my life and the people in it. Thanks to all those that made last week memorable; hopefully you all know who you are.

As I close this post, because I need to go to sleep, so that I can wake up rested for church in the morning. I will leave you with this:
A super cute song that I love singing along to at the top of my lungs in my car on my way to school. (Though it reminds me of my ex)
