Scroll Down To Read The Actual Post :)

Hello viewers and/or helpless victims of a misplaced click! Welcome to my blog, please stop and look around a bit. My name is Chelsea and I am a somewhat typical college student living life. I've created this account in order to share some of the random things I've done and tell stories (Anyone who knows me will tell you I talk-- perhaps too much-- to anyone and everyone and always have a story to tell). I think I talk too much, but thankfully in this setting you are not being coerced into listening to my ramblings, you may stop reading whenever you choose (though I hope you find me just intriguing enough to continue reading).

P.S. I've got a secret..... I am new to this! (As if you couldn't tell by my cookie cutter blog template) I have never before written a blog, but so many people keep saying I should, and provided I have the patience and the dedication to do this frequently, I think it will be really fun.

So anyway, please keep in mind that I am new to this, and cut me some slack as I get the hang of it.
Oh and one more thing! If you don't like my blog for whatever reason, I am not forcing you to read it; no one is :) and I am who I am, so don't expect me to change if I get a little flak.

Welcome to Every Day's an Adventure

Stream of Consciousness

Stream of Consciousness is a fun thing to tap into. I love just putting my head on cruise control and jumping from thought to thought without consideration! Many a time I have used this "power" (lol I'm a super hero :p) to create a story about "Farmer Joe" for my little sister before bed. She loves "Farmer Joe" stories haha. Stream of consciousness is also fun with song lyrics and drawing. You just go as fast as you can without stopping or censoring. Just go on and on and on and then see where you get.
Here's an example of one of the random things I've done to entertain my little sister and make her laugh before bed:

Improv: My Life as a Toothpaste Model

Sometimes my brain does it all on it's own now without provocation, kinda like those bing commercials. That's always interesting, that now I don't even have to force it to happen, it can just spontaneously do it. Just now Aunt May (my brother is watching Spider Man) said "Oh Peter." I mimicked her and then all of the sudden: Oh Peter, Peter (said in a young child's British accent), Peter Pan!, he can fly!, I'm a real boy!!!!, Pinocchio, Shrek, Donkey, Eddie Murphy, Dr. Doolittle, "I can talk, I LOVE to talk, I'm the talking-est darn thing you ever saw," old lady, miss muffet, tuffet, spider, my sister's scared of spiders.... okay I'll stop now but you get the idea.

Connection, everything is connected. Like Frigyes Karinthy's six degrees of separation. Although some studies have shown that the average is actually somewhat higher than that, although still under 7. Anyway... point is everything and every person is connected somehow although we may not know exactly how. Plus apart from such theories even, we all derived from Adam and Eve, and even more recently than that, from Noah and his wife. Which makes me think about racism, and hate in general, why does it exist? We are all people, we're all trying to make our way in this world, we are all God's children, why can't we all love and accept each other? I mean I suppose it's just in our sinful nature as humans and well the whole tower of Babel thing in the Bible where everyone's languages were mixed up to make them disperse and populate the world as opposed to futile-ly (yes I made that up, cuz according to spell check the word futile does not exist in the adverbial form) trying to build a tower to heaven. This Bible story causes me to think about my major: Foreign Languages. My primary goal for my education is to learn as many languages as possible so as to ideally (not realistically) be able to speak to anyone else on the planet. Yes I know that is unattainable, but still worth striving for. But! Is this endeavor sinful? I mean God mixed everything up on purpose, should I really be trying to sort it back out to my own ends? Yes. I don't really think it's a sin, I just ponder that sometimes. I plan to learn as many languages as possible in order to identify with and communicate with as many people as possible, which would by extension allow me the ability to share with them the love that God offers despite our faults. No matter how huge our sin is, God loves each of us EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT, can you believe that? Maybe you don't, but I'll tell you where in the Bible it says that that's true. The verse James 2:10 states that "For whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." What this means is that someone who is 100% perfect except for a tiny white lie is still guilty of sin, just as an unrepentant serial killer is. Here's an example of why this is true: imagine a glass of pure water, now drop a grain of sand in it; is that water still pure? No, it has been defiled by the single grain of sand. Likewise, if you dump an entire cup of dirt into the water, the water is no longer pure. Sure the level of "corruption" is vastly different, but in both cases the water has been defiled and therefore is no longer pure. Alright now, the water is us, and the dirt/sand is our sin. Some people have a lot of sin and some people have less, but We ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). God is perfect and pure, his water cannot be defiled, and if he were to allow us into heaven on our own merit, our dirt would contaminate His holiness (His cup of clean water). So even if we have more water than dirt in our cups when we die, we still are not worthy of heaven. So, if we aren't worthy of heaven, where do we end up? Well we've established that everybody sins, what's the consequence of sin? Death, (Romans 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, in Christ Jesus our Lord." Now you might be thinking well, we all die anyway, so that means once we die, if we don't go to heaven, that's it right? We've already paid our debt right? Wrong! Unfortunately the "death" spoken of here means eternal separation from God in hell. Now I know that seems terrible as we've said that everyone sins. So wait, everyone has to go to hell? No! That's the great part, even though we all deserve hell, we don't have to go there. How do we escape such a terrible consequence? Jesus. That's right, Jesus, now I'm sure most of you know something about this guy. He was sent to Earth by God to save us, because God loves us immensely and doesn't want ANYONE to go to hell, but the fact of the matter is He just can't let impurity into heaven, His perfection cannot tolerate our sin. So He came up with a way to allow us into heaven with Him. He sent Jesus to us (John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life"); Jesus lived a sinless life and died a sinless death (at this point he took on the sins of the world and suffered separation from God), after which he came back to life, visited his followers again and then ascended into heaven; this feat of human nature conquered death and allowed him to become the payment for ALL sin. Because of this, anyone who admits that they're a sinner and accepts His offer of payment can enter into heaven when they die as Jesus will pay for their sins so they don't have to. BUT if we reject Jesus' offer: "No thanks dude, I don't accept charity; I'll figure this out myself," we are doomed to eternity in a place of ceaseless torment, because Jesus is the ONLY way! "I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). So, what do you say? Will you accept Jesus' offer? He's more than willing to pay for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you've EVER done wrong, no matter how heinous your sin may be, because all sin is equal in the sense that it makes you unworthy of God. From a tiny white lie to mass genocide. He can forgive you, He can pay for you, and He wants to, but He will not force you to accept that gift, it's your choice. Oh and a side note, it's a choice you must make BEFORE you die! Even if it's a moment before, it must be before. Once you reach the place of judgment your name is either on the list or it's not and no amount of repentance or bribing will get you in at that point if it's not. And I know many of you are thinking about how corrupt religion is, and how hypocritical it's proponents are, but that is not the point! Church, tradition, rituals, etc, NONE of that is the point. The point is having a relationship with God so that your sins can be paid for. The corruption, the rituals, the endless lists of requirements that some religions promote, all of that is created by other humans. Sinful humans, so it stands to reason that the church isn't perfect as it is a construct maintained by man. Church has it's value of course. It is used to teach, to edify, to provide fellowship, and accountability, BUT certain aspects are bound to be flawed, because each of us is flawed. Contrary to popular belief: becoming a Christian DOES NOT make you better than anyone else, it DOES NOT make you sinless or perfect. I am a Christian, but I am as far from perfection as any of you. The difference between someone who has accepted Jesus' offer and someone who hasn't is NOT sin, it's FORGIVENESS. I still sin, but I try my best not to and I am forgiven, and when my time comes to die, and I enter the place of judgment my name will be found in that Holy book as one whose sins are covered by Jesus' death. One who accepted his payment. Are you forgiven? Are you on that list?

I love you (even if I don't know you), but more importantly GOD LOVES YOU!

Wow.... I was not planning on saying all that lol. See this stream of consciousness thing is CRAZY! I tell you. My brain just gets going and by the end I nearly forget where I started!

Well, if you have any questions on the spiel I just delivered, feel free to ask me :)
I am not here to condemn you to hell, or to try to convert you, that's not my place, nor is it within my power, BUT I am here to share this great news with you. I cannot force you to believe, nor will I try; the choice is yours, you have free will. God is waiting and He is hoping that you will choose Him.

... alright, well with that, I suppose I will end this post. If religion offends you, I apologize, but this is what I believe and I won't hide it, deny it, or qualify it.

My next post will contain more levity I promise as the last two have been fairly devoid of comedy and or entertainment.

Today's "Link to my Life" is a trivial fact: My favorite color is green XD
(yes I know this post is purple; it was a deliberate choice hehe)

That is all. Hope this post finds you well wherever you are and whatever you're going through
