Hello viewers and/or helpless victims of a misplaced click! Welcome to my blog, please stop and look around a bit. My name is Chelsea and I am a somewhat typical college student living life. I've created this account in order to share some of the random things I've done and tell stories (Anyone who knows me will tell you I talk-- perhaps too much-- to anyone and everyone and always have a story to tell). I think I talk too much, but thankfully in this setting you are not being coerced into listening to my ramblings, you may stop reading whenever you choose (though I hope you find me just intriguing enough to continue reading).

P.S. I've got a secret..... I am new to this! (As if you couldn't tell by my cookie cutter blog template) I have never before written a blog, but so many people keep saying I should, and provided I have the patience and the dedication to do this frequently, I think it will be really fun.

So anyway, please keep in mind that I am new to this, and cut me some slack as I get the hang of it.
Oh and one more thing! If you don't like my blog for whatever reason, I am not forcing you to read it; no one is :) and I am who I am, so don't expect me to change if I get a little flak.

Welcome to Every Day's an Adventure

Mariposa (No not butterfly)

Okay so guess where I'm at? .... No idea? Well fine I'll tell ya. I'm in MARIPOSA!!! None of you know where that is, but that's okay. I am at my grandparents house up in central California for the next several days and it's pretty cool. They live up in the mountains and have a 20 acre property, to give you an idea, most of you probably have a quarter acre property at most down there in SoCal. So it's pretty huge. There are deer, bears, mountain lions, bob cats, giant toads, tons of frogs, dazzling stars due to crystal clear dark skies, mosquitoes galore, butterflies, the pet dogs, cats, and coy fish in the outdoor ponds (used to also be horses :/ one was put down, and one was sold), plenty of flowers and super tall trees. It's gorgeous. So anyway, it's super pretty here and even though I'm sick and fairly miserable, it's still awesome. We went to Yosemite today and it was beautiful as always. If you've never been there you DEFINITELY need to go! But you should go THIS SUMMER as soon as possible. Because up here in the glorious mountains, they had a very cold and wet winter and spring, so there is TONS of extra water around. The river is up super high, and all the waterfalls are huge! The water at Bridalveil falls is running down the walkway leading up to it, a week ago the water was rushing over the landing at 4 inches deep. I walked barefoot up to the falls and basked in the the cascading mist. I got so wet haha and it was so refreshing. It felt 20 degrees cooler standing at the bottom of the falls than at the beginning of the path. I didn't want to leave. All of the waterfalls were just as full and raging, and there were even some waterfalls that only exist at present, because there's too much water to just follow the normal channels. Everything is overflowing and full and thriving; trees normally BY the river were half covered in the high river which at points came almost right up to the road. There were butterflies, and squirrels, and tons of birds and one blue jay, and jumping lizards, and grasshoppers, and pack-mules. We went to Wawona and saw all the olden times cabins and wagons and filled our water bottles in the old fashioned pump there (that's a picture of the pump at the top of the page... don't know who that guy is; found it on google), ran barefoot along a sandy path in a meadow, and got bit by a few mysterious bugs (I felt a sting on my foot and looked down to see several big black bugs, all of them managed to bite me before I could squash them -__- not sure what kind of bugs they were, but hopefully they weren't too dangerous haha). Picnicked by the river, carried my baby sister around to see the sites and wave at ALL the people lol. Some foreign lady came up and was making sounds at her and pinching her thighs hahaha, it was pretty funny if not a tad awkward for me lol. Janey just kept waving at her and I just kinda smiled awkwardly. Everyone stops her no matter where we are to grin at her, or comment, or point, she is just too perfectly adorable. She is the spitting image of the Gerber Baby or a Kewpie Doll. Mix those two images together and you get my ever-smiling little angel of a sister. But ya anyway point was... YOSEMITE=AWESOME!!! GO THERE!!! Okay that is all, now to get off my lappy top for awhile and attempt to drum up some people for a card game. Adios Folks! :)

  4. Yeah seems as though most people in our age range are haha, but I figured it was worth telling you anyway, just in case. I never go on the trips either. I joined the group and the mailing list because the activities sounded so fun, but then 99% of them are out of my price range for sure.
